JUMPSITS, PLAYSUITS & ROMPERS....OH MY!!!

Don't you remember that little movie called, The Sound of Music? I do, and as a child my favorite part was when she made the children play clothes to run around in. She made some dresses, she made some shorts, but she also made some playsuits/rompers! The way the runway has been looking for spring/summer 2010 any length is right on trend with jumpsuits. We all know mini hot shorts are in then there are the mid-calf length, and then there's the full length style that goes up to your ankles.

Professional: I love the tailored jumpsuits that are out right now because you can go to work with it and add a boyfriend blazer on top with a pointed close toe matte leather heel. When work is done take off the blazer, add chunky bangles, put on gladiator style heals, and meet your girls for some cocktails!
Casual: I've been wearing the more loose, flowing, and relaxed type of playsuits and rompers because they are amazing for the summer! Nice breathable cotton is the way to go for this wonderful weather we've been receiving. Wear it with sandals or a wedge and they'll still look fresh.

BOYFRIEND BLAZERS!! IT'S STILL IN!!!

The boyfriend blazer trend has been in since 2008, but it didn't pick up as much as the boyfriend shirt and jeans did. This is why it is still going strong for 2010! There's not much to say about the boyfriend blazer it gives your outfits a level of sophistication with style. Also, it can be worn with anything and everything so the versatility is definitely there. For myself, working in a store that's all about basic pieces there's only two rules when wearing your boyfriend blazers!

#1: ROLL UP YOUR SLEEVES!!
This is a big rule for me because most of the time I don't like to see the sleeves not rolled. The story is that you "took" your boyfriends blazer and now your wearing it and if that was true wouldn't the sleeves be too long for you? Yes it would, so that's one reason why we roll up the sleeves. Another very important reason is because we want to show a little wrist/arm action to give this masculine trend a more feminine look!

#2: MAKE IT OVERSIZED!!
The tip here is to get a blazer that's one size bigger then what you normally buy. Since you "took" the blazer from your boyfriend it needs to be bigger to play into the story, but you must not get lost into the blazer! You wear the blazer don't let it wear you!

PRINTED PANTS ARE IN

Print is in ladies...printed pants that is! This style trend has graced the runways of almost every designer. If you want stripes, graphic, floral, bold, or soft colors this 2010 trend will give that fashionista the fashion forward look she wants. Some designers are making the pants skinny while others are making them relaxed like the Harem pant. Whatever style you like the choice is yours, all you need to know is how to wear this trend!

Tip #1: YES!! You can wear pattern on pattern just make sure that if the pant is a bold print you need to wear a printed top on the softer side so it gives your outfit an accidental charm. If not, ultimately you'll look like a crazy hot mess!

Tip #2: EMBRACES YOUR CURVES!! If you are bottom heavy don't go with the skinny pant style. It would be best if you went with the relaxed harem pant look with some sexy heels. This will help to hide some of the booty and highlight those sexy legs!

Tip #3: SOPHISTICATION!! If your looking for that elegant, but trendy look wear the relaxed cut with a over-sized silk top giving the tucked in and tucked out feel. Drape the top off the shoulder and put on a sleek pair of heels!
